'Once in a Lifetime Experience' - Windows 8 App Fest

Hey Folks! I'm Back! And this time I do have something to share. Yes! It is about my Experiences of the Windows 8 App fest. It was big! too big! It was a Guinness World Record. A record for the maximum number of Developers in a single marathon coding event. I am delighted being a part of it. Will cherish the experience through out my life.
I made a Windows 8 app named LIFE. It has the full form Learning Is Fun and Easy. I included few Inspiring quotes, Tips to keep your mind sharp, tricks that simplify a large problem and Inspirational real life stories in the Application. I developed it using metro style principles and got it approved by the Tech experts there. Yes! It passed the AEL and I am super excited. Now I will have Apps in the windows store along side the 6 odd apps in the Windows Phone Market Place.
Wow! What a journey it has been. 2 months ago I was nowhere and today I find myself as a developer who has apps which are downloaded by people world-wide. It's like a dream that has come true. Taking part in the MSP Selections, I Unlock Joy Phase 2 and now the App Fest, It has been a journey worth remembering. Hope I get positive results and my hard work pays me good rewards. Overall, It has been a wonderful learning experience and I am so very happy for that reason. Well that's it for now. Will come back with more in future. Till then bye cya!

"Guess the date" app

This is an app where you have to answer a few questions with "yes" or "no" and the app rightly returns your birthday or infact any date you want. Yes, the app is hundred percent accurate. I took just a few hours to make this app. Its based on a basic idea but a huge implementation of it. Well, i guess this much of description is enough for this app :P

My Technical App :P

Well, This is infact the first app I developed. Its called phone protractor. It is basically an app which finds the angle of inclination of any surface with respect to three axes viz the X, Y and Z. So, just use your phone as a protractor. I used the concept of accelerometer(generally used for gaming) for this.
This is special app for me because i worked hard to implement it though it looks simple. It is infact simple one only :P. By the way, there is something called spirit level also in the app which checks if a surface is level. Its funny that I had to remind myself about it :D

I am enclosing a few images of the app

My latest app - Music Fun

This time I happened to try something different. My latest app in the windows phone marketplace is called Music Fun.
Well, basically, It is nothing but creating unique sounds from natural sounds like water drop dripping from a tap, birds chirping etc.
I tried to make some kind of continuous music player but ended up doing a sound maker :P. Anyways it is unique I feel. It should help the users have some fun playing with the app.

A peep into the current happenings...

Hey folks, Again its been a while since I last wrote something over here. Have lots of things to share. Well, It has been action packed and heavily loaded all these days. I term it as a transformation period. I'm getting to learn many new things by travelling places. It started with google's gday. I attended the technology days and it was awesome fun. I then happened to attend the windows phone meet at Microsoft campus. It dealt with optimizing the windows phone apps and got to learn and implement a lot from there. I'm excited about the visual studio launch event on the 17th of sept. And , how did I forget the app fest. I'm super excited to be a part of world's largest hackathon. And then the subsequent rounds of MSP selections. So, excitement all the way. That's it for now. hoping for more in the future. byeee :)
